The beautiful decor of the homestay at Yi Family truly delighted my senses. The traditional Cambodian touches in the decoration gave me a sense of being immersed in the local culture, and the peaceful ambiance made it perfect for relaxing. The general areas were spacious and well-maintained, making it easy for me to move around as a senior. Additionally, the homestay was easily accessible for elderly guests, with well-lit pathways and helpful staff who were always ready to assist.
For a better vacation experience for senior people like myself, I would have appreciated slightly softer mattresses and pillows. While the children working there were truly kind and helpful, I would suggest providing more assistance to senior guests who may need some extra support during their stay.

The location of this homestay is outside of the town center, surrounded by beautiful gardens and fields. The hosts are extremely attentive, providing helpful tips and organizing transportation. The rooms are comfortable with air conditioning and a small kitchen area. The property also offers free bikes for guests to explore the area.
The shared bathroom is quite small and the floor is often wet from the shower.

The homestay provided a truly authentic and unique experience, allowing us to live amongst a Cambodian family. The family welcomed us warmly, sharing meals and unique experiences like a monk offering. The location, not far from the city center, offered a beautiful and authentic countryside atmosphere. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious. The homestay also provided tuk tuk connections and bikes for transportation.
Felt at home and cared for, no reason to complain.

The rooms at Yi Family Homestay are absolutely amazing. They have a cozy and welcoming feel that instantly made me feel at home. I loved the fully equipped kitchen in the unit. It was so convenient to have everything I needed to cook my own meals. The traditional stilt cottages and studio apartments are so charming and unique. They give the place a special touch. The spaciousness of the rooms allowed me to roll out my yoga mat and practice in the comfort of my own space.
Personally, I found the minibar in the kitchen a bit unnecessary as I prefer to buy my own drinks.

Loved the excursions like cycling through the jungle and kayaking in mangrove forests. Engaged with locals, made crafts, and experienced the permaculture farm. Sam's passion for nature and culture was infectious.
Wishing I could have spent more time at Yi Family Homestay instead of exploring all the amazing things Siem Reap has to offer!
